Anne continues as the June host for the Tag Along Challenge Blog and she is taking a retro road trip!  I had the perfect Stampotique stamp called "A Car Full."  I used a #10 Ranger tag and covered it with a scrap of My Mind's Eye patterned paper called North Pole.  It was a bit of a bear to fussy cut the stamped image, but I got it done! I adhered it with pop dots to add a bit of dimension.  The quote is from a sticker sheet by Reminisce called Travelogue.  I then used a blending tool to apply Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to the edges of the tag to age it a bit.  I used the same ink to color my ribbon and done!

I hope you like the tag!  It was a fun and quick make since I am home for the day and got some play time in my studio.  I hope you can find some time to play this week, too.  Join us at the Tag Along Challenge Blog!

  3. I think this tag is really perfect for a retro road trip challenge!! :D I love fussy cutting as you know, so that's great to see this gorgeous Stampotique image fussy cut out here and beautifully showcased on your tag my lovely friend, simply gorgeous! :) Hugs, Coco

  5. Marvelous Kay!!! Not only did you do some fancy fussy cutting, but your stamped image is so clear. What ink did you use? I can never get this stamp to stamp like you did, whaaaaa

    1. I first tried Memento ink and was not happy, so then tried Ranger Archival, but really, REALLY worked the pad. I paid attention to what areas did not stamp well with the Memento, then paid careful attention to those areas when using the Archival. Glad you like it, Gerrie!

  6. Cool vintage tag, Kay. Your cutting out is superb too (I'm in awe).

  7. Ooo Kay, I'm not familiar with that Stampotique stamp but love it! Such a wonderful tag :)
Big hugs to you from Poppy and me xx

  8. This tag looks fantastic! Great quote from Mark Twain, who spent part of his life living in Connecticut.
