The (Simply) Less is More challenge this week is "What's Outside Your Window?" It can be interpreted literally or figuratively. I took the window literally, but what's outside figuratively. I have come to realize that friendship really matters and should not be taken lightly. A friend has been diagnosed with cancer and will, most likely, not be here next Spring. Our dinners out and weekends away will soon be diminished to just three of us rather than the four of us...and my heart hurts. My card today is dedicated to that friendship.
I used a Sizzix die to create my window, ripped a scrap of green paper to create a bit of grass to ground my Stampotique image called Little Friends. The sentiment was created and printed using my computer. Clean and simple, yes, but not without much thought and love.
There is still time this week to play along with this challenge and to create a card to brighten someone's day. Details here.
Thank you so much for your visit today and for taking a moment to leave a comment. I value both!
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteYour card is very touching Kay... it touches me A LOT.
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you, I know what it is and how our heart hurts in these hard moments when we are afraid to loss our best friends (two of my best crafty friends I know well have a cancer too at the moment, and I'm SO terribly sad too...)
Take care of you please.
Hugs xxxx
Such a beautiful dedication to your dear friend ! Kay and what a deeply heartfelt piece of Art. Your words resonate as my very dear brave friend lost her battle to cancer just over a year ago now and though I didn't see her everyday ( she lived overseas) I feel her loss tremendously . I only wish I had created something as beautiful for her .
ReplyDeletebig hugs Amanda x

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your friend, Kay. It is such a sadness to see so many wonderful people succumbing to this disease, and I applaud your effort to pay tribute with this lovely card. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you especially as my little group of friends has dwindled from six to four in three months sending big hugs your way. Friendship matters so much especially to those who are to leave us so soon. I love your card it really touched me.
