For the last several years, like many others, I have chosen a word to serve as a constant motivation throughout the new year. In 2015, my word will be REACH! I first heard the song "Reach" by Patti Austin about 20 years ago, but was reminded of it recently. I love the lyrics because they address reaching up and out in all areas of one's life, and I like that. I created a journal page today to serve as a physical reminder of my word for this year.
The background was created using heavy white card stock, coating it with Gesso, then pressing another piece of card stock against it to create a pattern in the Gesso. Once it was dry, I sprayed several colors of ink (one at a time), then water to let the inks take the paths created in the Gesso. The stamps are both from Stampotique Originals:
