A fun challenge this week from the Tag Along Blog Challenge.
For my tag today, I began with two colors of Golden liquid acrylics called Naples Yellow Hue and Teal. I lightly brayered on one color, dried it, then brayered on the second. I continued this pattern until I was happy with the base of my tag.
Next, I used one of Tim Holtz's stencils (Splatters) specifically sized for tags and used a blending tool to push through some black archival ink. Once dry, I added a piece of washi tape across the bottom to ground my image.
I used two of my new Stampotique Originals' stamps, "Little Friends," and the "Sunbeam" text stamp. Both were stamped directly onto white card stock and dried. I fussy cut the image and used pop dots to adhere it to add a bit of dimension to the tag. The text stamp was cut on my rotary trimmer, mounted on a scrap of black card stock, then adhered to my tag.
I used a white ribbon dyed with black Dylusions ink spray, tied it onto my tag and affixed it with a mini staple.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope you will find time to play with a tag this week, creating your own spots and dots!
LOVE that sentiment Kay - and your tag sets it off perfectly ! <3
ReplyDeleteI really should use my brayer more often (along with my gelli plate) as this gives a really good base on your tag and the colours are lovely and bright too. The quote is terrific, I might have to add it to my wish-list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a regular visitor to my blog - I really appreciate it and look forward to your lovely comments :-)

Oh, this is an adorable tag once again! I have this 'little friends' stamp, but in its tiny version... I made a mistake haha, it's much more harder to use it as it looks really small! :) Anyway, no one better than you can use all these vintage Stampotique stamps, you really make them very beautiful!! Hugs Kay, your friend Coco
