TAG ALONG BLOG CHALLENGE #85: CHARLIE CHAPLIN

The Tag Along Challenge Blog invites us to honor Charlie Chaplin this week!  Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin was an English comic actor and filmmaker who rose to fame in the silent film era, according to Wikipedia.  Since Charlie was born in 1889 and died in 1977, there will be some among us who do not recognize his name.  Here is a treat for you in the form of a film clip:


I have chosen to use a quote from Charlie Chaplin (garnered from Pinterest) along with a stamp from one of the Tim Holtz' Stampers Anonymous collections called "Umbrella Man." The background paper is also from a Tim Holtz paper collection.  The raindrops are compliments of Stampotique Originals and is called Raindrops, appropriately!  The washi tape is from my stash.

    LOVING the Charlie Chaplin words Kay, doesn't make me sad quite the opposite... Wonderful Tag, really liking your colour choices and Umbrella Man is the perfect choice for your stamp. Think this has to be one of my favourites of yours so far this year :-) xxx

    Oh WOW Kay!! You never fail to surprise me with your creativity! I love your choice of elements and colour palette - each one brings a cohesive feel to the overall sentiment and the mood of your design. I loved Charlie Chaplin and always enjoy TCM's silent movie nights or marathon days when he's featured.

    Gorgeous tag that subtly echoes the sadness of the quote... I haven't used him for a while but I love that great Tim Holtz Umbrella Man image. Thanks for reminding me of what a wonderful image it is and for showing its poignant side in addition to its whimsical one...

    Really? Are there really people who don't know Charlie Chaplin? That's so sad for them... Love your tribute tag - Umbrella Man is the perfect CC figure, and the stormy colour palette is perfect to reflect the inner darkness of the "sad clown" revealed by the words.
