ART FROM THE MAIN HOUSE: Less is More Challenge #267

The challenge this week at the (Simply) Less is More site is to create a one-layer card that uses a sentiment as the focal point.

I learned a new technique this afternoon and decided to try it for this challenge. I used a piece of sponge to soak up some paint I had squeezed onto my craft mat, then dabbed it lightly onto only a portion of the raised side of an embossing folder. I placed my card blank on top of the paint and gently rubbed my fingers around the back of the card to pick up the paint. It produces a soft imprint which I quite like. I used a stamp to create the focal text image.  Simple text that speaks volumes!

I hope you can find some time this week to get crafty and this challenge is a fun one.  You can find the details here.

Thanks for visiting today and for taking a moment to leave a comment.  Both are important to me!

Cheers!
