ART FROM THE MAIN HOUSE: Sunday Postcard Art Challenge (03-13-16)

Audrey is our host this week at the Sunday Postcard Art challenge and she has asked us to use a photograph in the creation of our postcards. I have always been proud of the men in my family who have served in the military. I am happy to have several photographs of my husband from his days as a sentry dog handler in the U.S. Air Force. For my postcard today, I have chosen a photo of Russ and his dog Dawn.

There is plenty of time for you to create a postcard for Audrey's challenge this week. You can find the details here.

Thanks so much for visiting today and for taking a moment to leave a comment. Both are appreciated!

Cheers!

  10. To Russ, Big thank you for your service to this great country!
Kay, this card is so awesome! Our great flag as a color background for your black & white photo speaks volumes. So many nameless brave souls have served our country and this flag so bravely and proudly. My words are lacking for my feelings. WELL DONE Kay!

    1. Thank you Annie. I also feel the same way, which is that I lack the words to express my feelings about this card. This card has no words, yet it powerfully projects a tremendous amount of patriotism. Russ

  13. This is a fantastic tribute, Kay! And how wonderful that Russ was a dog handler in the military. German Shepherds are one of the most intelligent, protective, and loving dogs in the canine species.
