The challenge this week at The Three Muses Challenge blog is BLACKBIRD. I can think of no more interesting a blackbird than the raven...which naturally leads to Edgar Allan Poe!
I used two digital images (so unlike me) as well as a strip of washi tape and computer-generated text to create this piece of art:
Thanks for coming by today and for taking a moment to leave a comment. Both are sources of inspiration for me!
Cheers!
I have such a weakness for Raven art! Your piece is terrific, Kay. Love all your bits and details. Very cool how the pinkish nevermore in the background serves as a fence...that's how I saw it at first glance.
ReplyDeleteI never tire of Poe's poem, and I likewise never tire of creating art depicting ravens. This is a very evocative piece. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDas ist großartig !
ReplyDeleteEine ganz besondere Art der Darstellung.
Liebe Grüße
This is such a peaceful piece. Perfectly placed layers and a pretty cool black bird :)
ReplyDeleteOh my Kay I just love this ... Ravens are such wonderful birds too. Great use of digi images... I am a little scared of them :D :P Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving me a comment so nice of you and I miss seeing your layouts too but the work you are doing now is breath taking. I think we have to go where our art takes us. I am still trying to find my way again and just dabbling here and there.
