STAMPOTIQUE DESIGNERS' CHALLENGE #180: USE PAINT IN YOUR BACKGROUND

I simply could not miss my friend Corrie Herriman's hosting of the Stampotique Designers' Challenge this week.  Corrie rarely creates without paint somewhere in her art, so it was no surprise when I read her challenge:
Happy Wednesday everybody.  My first love in crafting is paint.  So, today I would like you all to use paint in your background.  Doesn't matter what paint or how you apply it, just have fun!
I have been slow to join the trend to use DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, but I did buy two the last time I was in my local art store--Cadmium Orange Hue and Green Gold.  I used them both here, applying with a brayer.  I do have to say that I love these paints, not just the color but the fluidity of them.

This challenge also allowed me the opportunity to use another of my new Stampotique Originals' stamps, "Olive Rose."  Using Black Archival Ink, I stamped my image onto white card stock.  I next cut an 2-1/4" oval on my Cricut using some scrap paper.  I removed the "cut," then placed my image behind the empty oval and cut again.  Next, I cut a 2-1/2" oval on black card stock and used it for matting.

For my sentiment, I used Tim Holtz' Idea-ology "ChitChat" stickers.

I hope you will take some time this week to get creative.  If you use paint, be sure to link it to the Stampotique Designers' Challenge for a chance to win one of two $30 gift certificates.

Thanks for stopping by--I appreciate both your visits and your comments!
